Disabling Growatt Inverter During Negative Energy Prices

A Growatt inverter can temporarily stop producing during negative energy prices. You do not need a battery for this. You use the inverter's Smart Scheduling feature. Make sure the inverter has the latest firmware and that the feature is set up correctly.

Prevent Feed-in When Electricity Costs Money

There are increasingly more occasions when the dynamic electricity price is negative. At such times, an end user may have to pay for the electricity that the solar power system feeds back into the grid.

With suitable Growatt inverters, you can automatically limit or temporarily disable feed-in during these hours. No home battery is required for this. You use the inverter’s Smart Scheduling feature.

What Do You Need?

To use Smart Scheduling, you must:

• update the inverter to the latest available firmware version;
• activate Smart Scheduling;
• enter the settings.
