With Growatt, you can reserve a part of your battery for power outages.
This part is not used during normal operation
So you always have backup capacity available
Set this via On-Grid Battery Discharge Stop SOC
Why set this?
Do you use a Growatt inverter with battery and backup function (this can be via backup box or inverter with built-in backup)? Then you can reserve a percentage of the battery.
👉 Without setting:
The battery can become fully depleted → no guarantee of backup during failure
👉 With setting:
A part always remains available for backup → certainty during power outage
Note: this reserved part is only used during a failure.
How to set it
Log in with your installer account at: https://oss.growatt.com/login
Go to Monitoring & Management -- Device List
3. Find the installation via the SN (This can be any SN present at this site)
4. Click on the gear
5. Confirm: I have read the disclaimer
6. Adjust: On-Grid Battery Discharge Stop SOC
What does this mean concretely?
Suppose you set this to 30%:
Battery stops at 30% during normal use
During a power outage, this reserve is still used
👉 This way you are sure that capacity is always available.
