Adjusting Battery Settings in the Growatt OSS Portal

In the Growatt OSS portal, you can easily set the charging power, discharging power, minimum SOC, and charging from the grid.

In this article, we explain which battery settings are available and what they mean.

How to open the battery settings

• Log in to oss.growatt.com with your installer account.
• Then go to: Monitoring & Management → Device List
• Find the serial number of the correct inverter and click on the gear icon.
• Click Read at the top right to load the current settings of the inverter.
• Under Battery Settings, you can then adjust the parameters listed below.

• Under "Battery Settings" the following settings can be adjusted:

Charging Power Rate
The maximum charging power of the battery, set as a percentage. The maximum charging power is determined by the power of the inverter and the number of installed battery modules. Each battery module can charge and discharge up to 2.5 kW. The lowest value determines the maximum charging power.

Charge Stop SOC
The percentage up to which the battery is charged at most.

Discharging Power Rate
The maximum discharging power of the battery, set as a percentage. The same calculation applies as for Charging Power Rate.

Off-Grid Battery Discharge Stop SOC
The percentage up to which the battery may discharge when the system is operating in off-grid mode, for example during a power outage.

On-Grid Battery Discharge Stop SOC
The percentage up to which the battery may discharge when the system is connected to the electricity grid.

The difference between On-Grid Battery Discharge Stop SOC and Off-Grid Battery Discharge Stop SOC determines the portion of the battery reserved for backup. This reserved part is only used during a power outage.

Grid Charging
This allows permission for the battery to be charged from the electricity grid.

Max. Charge Power From Grid
The maximum power in kW with which the battery may be charged from the electricity grid.

Charge Stop SOC from Grid
The maximum percentage up to which the battery may be charged from the electricity grid.
