Is the Huawei SmartLogger unable to connect to the internet due to the customer's network security? Then use the 4G option or have communication port 27250 opened.
For some customers, the corporate network is extra secured. This can make it difficult to connect the Huawei SmartLogger to the internet. You can resolve this in two ways:
Option 1: use the 4G connection
Use the SmartLogger's 4G option. This completely bypasses the customer's network and allows the SmartLogger to connect directly via the mobile network.
Option 2: have the communication port opened
Ask the customer's network administrator to open port 27250 for outgoing traffic.
The SmartLogger has multiple network interfaces:
- WAN: for the internet connection
- LAN: for local configuration of the SmartLogger
The MAC address on the packaging corresponds to the WAN interface. Share this MAC address with the network administrator so they can allow the correct connection.
Once port 27250 is opened for outgoing communication, the SmartLogger can connect to the external Huawei services.
